LiveFAST Mag “Floating” by Jimmy Marble ft. Alex Noiret
A new story is out! Thank you to my dear friend and incredible visionary photographer Jimmy Marble, all those who were on set, and Vivianne Lapointe at LiveFAST for making this story possible. In the photos you’ll see that flowers are everywhere – and they were! Flowers were being strategically thrown at me all day, and what more could I have wanted!? Seriously? Flowers are my favorite! I was so happy. Also, don’t let the beautiful flowers fool you – they come down heavy when they’re thrown in clumps.
Also another thing that I wanted to talk about – body. These photos were shot back in May and I remember being so proud of doing this shoot because it was the first time in a very very long time that I felt that I could model in lingerie. Maybe this is the wrong occasion to post about it, but within the last year, I’ve lost a total of 45 pounds (yes, I promise) and being stripped down to my knickers was an incredible feat for me. I felt like a rockstar. I felt like a goddess. Sure, I still had some tummy rolls when I bent over, and sure, my butt wasn’t “supermodel perky” and sure, I still have smaller breasts – but you know what? It’s my body! I am a woman. I am perfectly imperfect, and I am proud of the body that carries me through this life. I love the photos that Jimmy took because he photographed me as I am. There is no bodily retouching. Which, of course I originally hoped for, but on second note – I’m happy that he didn’t. Every soft curve and line represents gentleness. Because that’s what it’s been this past year – a journey of finding gentleness within myself. An ease and gentle push. To stop shaming and comparing. And you know what they say, “slow and steady wins the race!”. I agree.
