Shop Ban.do by Brigitte Sire
It’s always a good day when I end up working with familiar faces, and working with the Ban.do team on their latest #HaveFunInThis campaign was a good day indeed! Brigitte Sire is one of my favorite photographers to work with, and believe it or not, the first time I ever worked with her was for Velvet Tees when I was 16. Since then, Brigitte and I have shot together at least two other times, Scott and I both being the subjects on one of those shoots earlier this year. What I love about shooting with Brigitte is her ability to capture different, beautiful, in-between moments. She’s curious and cool, which creates a fun challenge for me to try to get on her level (when modeling, I feel that there’s a certain “level” to get to during a shoot. When both creatives reach the same level, or wavelength, magic happens! Reaching this point is a big part of the fun for me). Shooting this job was a lot of fun, and I am the luckiest to be able to call this “work”! (Let me clear things up a little though- some days don’t feel like work, and some days totally do. This day was not one of them!)
Ban.dō is a bright, quirky, fun, all-girl dream-team lifestyle brand laced in pink and ready to serve you up the cutest gifts and accessories you could ever dream of. (If you’re ever looking for cactus patches or pink pineapple phones, for example, this is the place for you.) The cool thing about this new campaign for Ban.dō is that it’s the first time they’re selling : CLOTHING! Bright, fun clothing with a chic, demure twist – so that even I, a relatively “less is more” believer, can join in on the fun.
Fun brand + fun team + fun day = fun fun fun
It was great seeing Sarah Lowe (an awesome stylist that I hadn’t seen since shooting my first editorial ever, when I was 15!) and Anna Lyles of course, who is an angelic and talented hairstylist who’s currently killing her game. Also, It was my first time working with Kelly Shew, who is a sassy ball of fun and who Is also very talented. GOOD TEAMS ARE THE BEST!
